A Distinguished Cohort of Pitt Engineers

Swanson School of Engineering hosts its 2023 Class of Distinguished Alumni

As part of a 59-year tradition of recognizing outstanding alumni, the University of Pittsburgh Swanson School of Engineering hosted its annual Distinguished Alumni Banquet at the University Club on Friday March 3. Hosted by Sanjeev G. Shroff, Interim U.S. Steel Dean of Engineering, and the School's Office of Philanthropic and Alumni Engagement, the dinner and award presentation honored alumni from each of the six departments and one for the School as a whole.

I am just amazed and humbled at our honorees’ diverse contributions to the engineering profession and the betterment of human society. Together, their careers represent nearly 300 years of engineering excellence and we are excited to add them to our pantheon of outstanding Pitt Engineers,” Dean Shroff said. “I cannot thank them enough for their passion and dedication as well as their generosity of time and experience to help mentor and encourage the next generation of engineers.”
