Pittsburgh and SSoE are the 'right fit' for Sean Heiden

Sean Heiden doesn't recall the pronouncement, but his parents insist it happened.

"I don't remember saying it, but my parents tell me that I said in eighth grade that if I could ever do any sport in college, it would be swimming," said the Wilson senior.

That will indeed happen, Heiden signing a letter of intent to continue his academic and athletic careers at Pitt, where he'll major in engineering and swim for the Panthers on a partial athletic scholarship.

A state consolation finalist and All-Berks pick in the 50-yard freestyle last year, Heiden was recruited by nearly a dozen schools and made official visits to Delaware and Penn State in addition to Pitt, where he's been accepted into the Swanson School of Engineering.
