Four Pitt Students Receive SWE Scholarships
Four students from the University of Pittsburgh Swanson School of Engineering received scholarships from the Society of Women Engineers (SWE).
SWE selects students who excel both in and outside of the classroom. The goal of the scholarships is to help propel their careers as engineers.
“We applaud all of our students that receive scholarships, but it’s particularly admirable when they receive something at the national level,” said Mary Besterfield-Sacre, senior associate dean for academic affairs and the Nikolas A. DeCecco Professor of Industrial Engineering. “Our values as an engineering school align with the mission of SWE, and we strive to provide an education that supports the women engineer in all of her endeavors and professional goals.”
