MEMS Student Receives Poster Session Award

Matt Kovalchuk, a PhD student in Prof. Brian Gleeson’s group, received a poster session award at the 14th International Symposium on Superalloys (Superalloys 2021), which was held virtually Sept. 13-16, 2021. The title of Kovalchuk’s presentation was “Laboratory-scale Replication of Deposit-induced Degradation of High-temperature Turbine Components”. The work presented is supported by the Office of Naval Research and is in collaboration with Pratt and Whitney, a manufacturer of aircraft engines.
