Sichuan University-Pittsburgh Institute hosts 2018 Matriculation Ceremony

Student representative Siyuan Ma, majoring in Industrial Engineering, delivered a speech on behalf of the 2018 freshmen.

The Sichuan University-Pittsburgh Institute held its 2018 Matriculation Ceremony on Friday, September 28 at the International Conference Hall, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Institute for Disaster Management and Reconstruction (IDMR).

Dr. James R. Martin, U.S. Steel Dean of Swanson School of Engineering via video welcomed the new students on behalf of the University of Pittsburgh. Dean Martin sent his best wishes to the freshmen and encouraged SCUPI students to use the resources from two partnering universities to widen their horizon and become global citizens.
